74. WHY I WON’T MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD – INSTANTLY!
Ever since I was a child I wanted to know. Then I learned about Albert Einstein and his quote, which stated that “any fool can know, the point is to understand.” And so I became a ferocious investigator of truth. I wanted to know the details behind the knowledge, so that I could construct my understanding about the world, about the nature of reality and, especially, about who we really are.
Information, I soon realized, is everywhere, offered by everyone, but rarely explained in a way that inspires confidence. This is unacceptable. People say and claim all sorts of things, but when asked to explain, credibly and consistently, they fail. Why are we one? Why are we love? Why does the world exist? What is true freedom and how to obtain it? Does evil exist? What is God? Who am I? What is my purpose? Questions, questions, questions.
And so I was forced to launch a personal investigations. It took me 35 years and I’m still learning. And the more knowledge I acquire, the more new investigation I unveil. If anything, I have learned just how ignorant we really are and hence the dire need for understanding that which we know. So let’s get back to the topic of this blog and why I will not make you feel good -instantly.
To put it simply: I will not make you feel good instantly, because I want you to understand what we are discussing. I could give you nice and tempting explanations about life, love, the world and many daily aspects of being, and make you feel good instantly. But I understand, that personal growth only happens within, and hence to truly grow we must possess not just knowledge, but true knowledge, which I call KNOWLEDGE-ABILITY: the ability to responsibly and efficiently manage the information we own.
To summarize: Personal growth is the only path toward increased wisdom, happiness and toward discovering the meaning of life. As a result of my investigation I wrote 5 short books addressing the subject of WHO WE ARE. The books are designed to inspire “understanding” of what is being discussed. Reading the 5 books may not make you feel good instantly. But those who persist will acquire something far more valuable: an understanding of the infinite potential that dwells within us, that is us, and thus, the understanding of who we truly are.
