As human beings, we are armed with precious personal tools: the body, the heart, the mind, and the spirit, given to us free of charge. These tools are the gracious gifts of the Absolute.

Yet, somehow, instead of appreciating and taking advantage of these amazing gifts, we inexplicably manage to find meaning in the meaningless, turn meaningless into the desirable, and spend our lives chasing pleasure and material goods, while pretending we are civilized, responsible, and engaged in worthwhile activities.

Our denial, misrepresentation, perversion of our own truth lies at the very core of our dysfunction—and this is the wisdom we transfer to our children. We set them up with a huge challenge: the so-called successful, desirable life, and we do it in such a way that it can never be resolved.

The result is constant search, living in fear and frustration. We beset our future generations with our convictions, limitations, and flawed reasoning, which we have come to believe is the right or favorable path; the way it’s supposed to be.

But is that our fault? Can we really know the truth of tomorrow when we are still struggling with the truth of today?
