People often ask me this question. This is of course, difficult to answer because the question presumes that everyone has a religion. Not so. This is how I see it:

I don’t belong to any mainstream religion. I’m also not an atheist because I cannot prove that God doesn’t exist. My understanding of the world, including God, is based on science, philosophy and deeper inner experience. So what does this make me? 

Well, I have to say I’m not anti-God, but I am ANTI-THEIST (anti-religion), because I don’t support any kind of organized religion. I most definitely don’t allow for God as described by the various religions, nor some mysterious God hiding in some unknown place. But I do allow for an educated interpretation of God and I firmly believe in humanity, so I guess I could say my religion is HUMANITY.

IN SUMMARY: I believe in the original essence, which unites everything and everyone. This essence, whatever it is, is the fundamental element of our world. We have given it many names, but the underlying truth remains one and the same: such an essence is and can only be based on the Absolute Truth. Since all truth comes from within, God comes from within. This means our ultimate destination is to search within, get in touch with the TRUTH of the SELF, then portray this truth outward, into the world, for the benefit of all living beings. Amen.
