84. CELEBRITY CAPITALIST SUPERFICIAL CULTURE?

Are you wondering why the above title? Well, it’s pretty obvious. I’m describing me! 🙂 Actually, I’m copying the text I received into my message box. The whole sentence reads:

“I just can’t respect someone who doesn’t vote and advocates this publically to young people. Or someone who doesn’t have the strength to choose the lesser evil: Hilary over Trump. Or someone who posts a constant stream of self-photography, promoting “celebrity” capitalist superficial culture.”

I FEEL WE HAVE GREAT MATERIAL FOR DISCUSSION HERE!

A quick intro.
1. I believe neither Trump nor Hillary deserve to be president of the USA.

2. I believe voting for the “lesser evil” (in the case of Trump vs Clinton) only promotes “status quo” and sends the message to the political parties that things are as OK when they’re certainly NOT. Am I right? Am I wrong? I don’t know. I’m just fighting back in my own way, testing, learning, growing, trying out new avenues.

Voting is important! But personally, I do NOT endorse the two-party political system, as this system starts with MONEY IN POLITICS and only grows worse (for me). By NOT VOTING I show my protest. Could I find a more effective way to protest? Definitely. Is it risky? Sure. But if there’re enough of us not voting, perhaps there will be an effect. I could be wrong, but we need to voice our protest in as many ways as possible and this is what I am trying to do.

3. I used to post pictures of Nature with all my posts. I named the web page and various social media pages after the title of the book series: “The Unfinished Book About Who We Are.” Then I began getting lectures from my publisher and my professional friends, reminding me that that I am part of the “Market” and that I can forget about a book publishing deal unless I am prepared to “market” the book properly, and this means promoting the “Self,” i.e. my name, my life, my privacy.

But enough about me and my labels. I’m interested in facts, results and the manifestation of Good. WE NEED TO TALK, exchange ideas, and GROW TOGETHER. In my opinion, as stated above, “disrespecting me because I differ in opinion” is exactly what politicians are doing. They are demonstrating their LOW EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, behaving like children, by taking sides, accusing each other of wrongdoing, shooting insults, instead of collaborating for the greater good of the people who voted them into office. That’s just MY opinion. I see the problem in the lack of emotional education within our education.

LET’S DISCUSS VOTING: How do you see the current political situation in the western world? Do you believe voting for the lesser evil is the RIGHT way? Can we make progress with the two-party political system? Can we end injustice by keeping money in politics? Please leave a comment on FB and let’s discuss Right, Wrong, Voting, and disrespecting people because they hold a different opinion. Thank you for caring! #Voting #Capitalism
